Welcome to Bunny Spa Day

Next Event:

October 18, 2025

Location: Ellington, Connecticut (Address provided after booking)

Finding professional bunny grooming can be challenging and expensive. That’s why we created Bunny Spa Day at Everybunny Counts Rabbit Rescue  an affordable, gentle grooming experience designed with your rabbit’s comfort in mind. Our team of caring volunteers provides high-quality services, including nail trims, brushing, and light mat removal.

Why a Bunny Spa Day Matters

Just like us, bunnies feel better when they’re clean, relaxed, and cared for. Regular grooming helps prevent health issues, keeps their coat soft, and strengthens the bond between you and your rabbit.

Furthermore, grooming reduces stress caused by matting or overgrown nails. As a result, your bunny will be healthier, happier, and easier to handle. Whether they’re one of our adoptable rabbits or already part of your family.

What to Expect

During your appointment, our trained volunteers will:

  • Gently trim nails and remove mild matting
  • Brush loose fur to keep the coat smooth
  • Clean scent glands for comfort and hygiene
  • Provide a calm, fear-free handling environment

Our focus is always on kindness, patience, and stress-free care.

Important Details

Appointments: Required — limited spots available.
If your rabbit is matted, requires a shave, or is an Angora/long-haired breed, please book two spa appointments back-to-back to allow enough time for proper grooming and care.

All proceeds from these services directly support our rescue programs, helping fund medical care, supplies, and foster support for rescued rabbits across Connecticut.

Please Note:

Our Bunny Spa Days are run by experienced volunteers, not licensed veterinarians. We do not offer medical or veterinary services.

What’s spookier and crueler than Oogie Boogie hi What’s spookier and crueler than Oogie Boogie himself? The recent explosion of dumped rabbits in Connecticut.

The last two weeks have been abhorrent in rabbit rescue, with requests for help with strays daily. It’s not typical of this time of year, and we were hoping for a break between the Easter and Second Easter dumping seasons. But alas, Jack Skellingbun is our fifth stray intake in nine days.

Jack is a baby New Zealand rabbit from New London. One of the client care specialists at Salem Valley Veterinary Clinic had made an effort to trap Jack’s siblings earlier in the month, but they were discovered too late. Jack Skellingbun got lucky yesterday and did not meet the same fate. He is starving, both for food and attention. This skinny little boy will give you a gentle nibble when you stop petting him, and so obviously we’re already obsessed. We know he loves kids and doesn’t mind other animals!

Jack Skellingbun needs a foster home, stat! We pay for 100% of medical care and 95% of supplies, and are available 24/7 for foster support. If you live in Connecticut and can foster Jack, please apply here: https://everybunnycountsct.org/foster

If you can’t foster, PLEASE SHARE this post to help Jack find somewhere safe to flop before he spends Halloween in the rescue! It’s what Sandy Claws would want you to do.
Oh, you thought we were done? Nope! Our last Labub Oh, you thought we were done? Nope! Our last Labubaby is a real gem!

Blue Diamond is very sweet and friendly. He wants all the attention you will give him and is probably the friendliest and sweetest of the babies. Blue Diamond doesn’t mind being held, but he also loves to run around and explore. He’s super funny and always wants to be in everybody’s business.

As a foster-to-adopt bunny, we will retain legal rights to Blue Diamond and cover his veterinary care, including his neuter procedure. You provide food, supplies, and a loving home! Once medically cleared, he will be yours to adopt forever. This is a phenomenal opportunity to adopt a baby bunny and get them the care they need without supporting unethical breeding and contributing to the rabbit overpopulation crisis

All prospective Foster-to-Adopt families must reside in Connecticut in order to maintain the relationship with our veterinary partners and for proximity to our rescue facilities.

ZiZi is a little spitfire! She is the most curious Labubaby, always wanting to know what’s happening. Zizi also has a sassy streak and will absolutely tell you what she doesn’t like. She does some of the best binkys and loves to run around and explore and get in the smallest spots she can.

There couldn’t be balance in the Labubabies if w There couldn’t be balance in the Labubabies if we didn’t have some black cat energy! Bringing it is Miss Duoduo

Duoduo is a little lady who knows what she wants when she wants it and, frankly, we’re happy to give it to her. Though she is definitely more judgmental than her golden bottle baby counterparts, Duoduo has plenty of love to give, you just have to earn it first. Oh, but she will find ways to give you her love, because she is an Olympic high jumper and tiny Houdini, so she will get to you and love you whether you’re ready or not!
