Welcome to Bunny Spa Day

Next Event:

October 18, 2025

Location: Ellington, Connecticut (Address provided after booking)

Finding professional bunny grooming can be challenging and expensive. That’s why we created Bunny Spa Day at Everybunny Counts Rabbit Rescue  an affordable, gentle grooming experience designed with your rabbit’s comfort in mind. Our team of caring volunteers provides high-quality services, including nail trims, brushing, and light mat removal.

Why a Bunny Spa Day Matters

Just like us, bunnies feel better when they’re clean, relaxed, and cared for. Regular grooming helps prevent health issues, keeps their coat soft, and strengthens the bond between you and your rabbit.

Furthermore, grooming reduces stress caused by matting or overgrown nails. As a result, your bunny will be healthier, happier, and easier to handle. Whether they’re one of our adoptable rabbits or already part of your family.

What to Expect

During your appointment, our trained volunteers will:

  • Gently trim nails and remove mild matting
  • Brush loose fur to keep the coat smooth
  • Clean scent glands for comfort and hygiene
  • Provide a calm, fear-free handling environment

Our focus is always on kindness, patience, and stress-free care.

Important Details

Appointments: Required — limited spots available.
If your rabbit is matted, requires a shave, or is an Angora/long-haired breed, please book two spa appointments back-to-back to allow enough time for proper grooming and care.

All proceeds from these services directly support our rescue programs, helping fund medical care, supplies, and foster support for rescued rabbits across Connecticut.

Please Note:

Our Bunny Spa Days are run by experienced volunteers, not licensed veterinarians. We do not offer medical or veterinary services.

Pepe the King Prawn says Happy Tuesday REWsday! P Pepe the King Prawn says Happy Tuesday REWsday!

Pepe is one of our Muppet Baby Bunnies who was born in our rescue in April this year. He is a SUPER outgoing and friendly bunny who loves children, being pet, and snuggling. He is also very smart, for better or worse; he figured out how to undo the latches on his pen and escape over the top too! He would definitely benefit from being a free-roam bunny with either a pen with a cover or a room with a door as a home base. Pepe is a little king, and we hope to find a family to live and treat him like royalty. Ready to serve a kindly and benevolent lagomorph overlord? Apply to adopt Pepe the King Prawn at the lïnk in our bïø!

Or, if you just want to adopt him virtually and support our bunnies, you can find him and his siblings illustrated on gorgeous męrch in our shöp, also at the 🔗 in our bïö 🐰

Ruby-Eyed White Rabbits or REWs are frequently overlooked. People associate them with labs or think their eyes are creepy. However, they are often some of the most mellow, friendly, and wonderful bunnies you will ever meet! Don’t let looks deceive you; there is nothing but love in those bunny eyes ❤️

Wednesday (second photo) must be adopted into a family with a neutered male or with her younger sister Thing (not pictured). We are so happy to share that Melangell is making We are so happy to share that Melangell is making a steady recovery and has found her forever home…here with us at EBC 🩷

When we brought Mel home on Thursday, her heart and ours were aching over the loss of her brother Metztli. In a last ditch effort to get Mel to eat on her own, we introduced her to our sanctuary rabbit, Pierogi. It was love at first sight, and Melangell immediately dove into their shared litter box and chowed down on hay- something we haven’t seen her do in nearly three weeks. Melangell has a ways to go before she is fully recovered from her various GI and skin issues, but she is better and brighter than we’ve seen her yet. And Pierogi is even willing to share his hidey house with her!

We couldn’t stand the thought of parting with Melangell, and now she has a permanent spot as our third sanctuary rabbit with EBC. She has stopped biting everybody (thank god) and is asking for pets from volunteers! When Mel is fully recovered, we will spay and vaccinate her; we are grateful to the kind individual that sponsored her wellness care.

Thank you to everyone who rooted Melangell on. From an unloved basement bunny to a spitfire icon, we are so grateful to have her as part of our family 🩷
